A Real Estate Legacy
In the mid-1950′s, while still operating his successful 30-year excursion steamboat company, Trey and Tim’s grandfather, B.B. Wills and their uncle, J. Eugene Wills, formed a partnership with a man named Albert Van Metre. By 1960, the firm, Wills and Van Metre, had become a major force in home building throughout the Washington, DC suburbs.
A short time later, Trey and Tim’s father, P. Reed Wills II (“Reed”), started his own real estate firm and would later co-found NV Homes which was eventually taken over by Ryan Homes and named NVR. Reed went on to develop more than ten thousand residential lots and construct several million square feet of residential, office and industrial properties.
After college, Trey and Tim began their careers in real estate working with their father. Eventually, they would form their own company, Potomac Land Management, which would later be renamed “Wills Companies”.
